Title: The Devils of D-Day Artist: Publisher: Pinnacle Books Year: 1978 Synopsis: See Graham Masterton Official Website Comments: Another Pinnacle release. This is the first release of Devils of D-Day from 1978. Pinnacles books all have a very warm look to them, very nice considering when they were published. It looks like the skull was added later to this painting of the tank. Doesn't it? Thanks to Kent Songer for the scan.
Title: The Devils of D-Day Artist: Publisher: Sphere Year: Synopsis: See Graham Masterton Official Website Comments: A paperback edition of Devils of D-Day sent to us by Mariano Baino. Sometimes dont covers just make you want to ask "What the hell is that thing?"
Title: The Devils of D-Day Artist: Publisher: Firecrest Year: 1991 Synopsis: See Graham Masterton Official Website Comments: Now this is a cool cover, but then I am partial to skulls as the ultimate symbol of horror and the fragility of human life. From Ron Sutton's amazing collection de Masterton. I also like books that have photographs on the cover, especially non-retouched photgraphs. It gives them a classy look.
Title: The Devils of D-Day Artist: Publisher: Sphere Year: 1979 Synopsis: See Graham Masterton Official Website Comments: Another gem of an edition from Mag Read. This one has a scary looking gorilla fellow on the front. Make sure to also see: Charnel House, The Heirloom, The Wells of Hell and Revenge of The Manitou for similar looking editions from Sphere around this time period.
Title: The Devils of D-Day Artist: Publisher: Sphere Year: 1979 Synopsis: See Graham Masterton Official Website Comments: A Sphere edition of "The Devils of D-Day". It's very interesting to look at the various editions here and see the different renderings of the creature from this novel. I like this cover a lot, especially the colors. Thanks to Julie aka Darksecretz for this edition.
Title: The Devils of D-Day Artist: Publisher: Lythway Horror Chivers Press Year: 1983 Synopsis: See Graham Masterton Official Website Comments: Ron Sutton sends this large print edition of the Devils of D-Day. Title: De Tretton djävlarna (The Devils of D-Day) Artist: Publisher: B Wahlströms Bokindustri AB Year: 1979 Synopsis: See Graham Masterton Official Website Comments: Lars-Ove sends us another Swedish edition from his collection. This is from the same series as his Swedish editions of Charnel House and The Djinn, Kalla Kårar. Very interesting to see. A nice retro-looking painting of a skull with some insects crawling about. I love the way, with this series, the name of the author is so de-emphasized as if the fact that this is a book by Graham Masterton is far less important than the fact that it is number 54 in the series. Interesting.
