Title: Swimmer Artist: Publisher: Severn House Year: 2001 Synopsis: Fifth in the 'Rook' series for young adults. Comments: What can I say? Another Excellent cover from Severn House. The Rook series is Masterton without the sex for young people. Many adults read them as well. Check out Masterton's interview with Jim Rook on the official site (which run, by the way, by webmaster par excellence Matt Williams).
One of the great things about Masterton's novels are the male protagonists. Usually funny, cynical, smart, oversexed and able to draw on internal resources in times of crisis. I would love to have Harry Erskine, Jim Rook and Lloyd Denman in a room with a bottle of Chivas Regal, a carton of cigarettes and lots of time to listen to them speak.

Title: Swimmer Artist: Publisher: Year: 2001 Synopsis: Fifth in the 'Rook' series for young adults. Comments: A tasty french edition of 'Swimmer'. Masterton is huge in France and it seems most of his books have been translated. The French covers are always pretty nicely executed. I like this cover a lot. John Mason was kind enough to send us a scan of this prize he won from Graham Masterton for winning a trivia contest on the Official Site message board. Thanks John!
