Comments: This is an amazing cover. I love the painting. Tengu is the book that my wife picked up from my nightstand one night and read aloud (she didn't get very far). We had just gotten together and I must say she wondered what kind of weirdo she had ended up with.

Masterton says Tengu was a transitional novel for him. It is one of his best (and goriest!). Notice the scanner put this weird glowing line across the middle of the book. I couldn't get it to go away. This is a "novel of demonic nuclear revenge", maybe I should buy a gieger counter and check it out.

Comments: This is definitely my favorite of the covers Kent Songer sent over. It has almost a cartoon look to it, but I like, I like.

Comments: Another one from famed film director and cover scanner Mariano Baino. Check out the schnoz on this evil samurai. A creepy cover, but this isn't quite what I pictured when I read the book.
